I was very sceptical at first but after being nag%ged by my wife to look into it l found the science behind it to be encouraging. The installation cost was reasonable. The guys fitted the heating membranes , boarded and plaster skimmed over them , all without disturbing my existing downlights. As an electrician myself I installed the mains power supplies to and from the room thermostats. The finished result is that the house is much more evenly heated, to a very accurate temperature and for at least a 3rd off the electrical running cost. We can control and monitor the systems use remotely from our phones using the simple to use app. Highly recommend it. Installation was straightforward, and the test went smoothly. We placed panels directly on the heating foil, and once switched on, the warmth is felt instantly across the entire surface. The thermostat has an intuitive menu, and the app makes it easy to monitor everything. As for long-term use, we will update later, but so far it looks like there will be no issues.Posted on Mindaugas OkunisTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We are using Ihelios products for our last 3 development. Our tenant really like this heating system.Posted on Rupert StanleyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We have nearly completed a PassivHaus spec new build. We have some heating through the MVHR and, as you would expect, the building envelope is highly insulated and airtight. In theory a candle and a cat should heat the place, but my wife wanted a backup heating source and I then saw a different IR ceiling heating system at one of the shows. Researching that some more and the install worked out quite expensive so I widened the scope and found iHelios amongst other suppliers. We felt it worth visiting the office and demo room in Hull. I must have looked more capable than I am as David suggested that I could install it myself and gave me a training session which my wife videoed. This changed the economics and we decided to install in more rooms than we had originally planned. He also gave me the test heating foil that we trained on which was a useful reference when I came to do it some months later. Self installation proved quite achievable for someone who is no more than a competent DIYer. The printed installation manual that comes with the equipment is better than what was available to download. David was also available for some assistance when needed. Top tips are some cable runners that the cable reels can rotate freely on and some good wire strippers. The performance has not been properly tested in the completed house, but I have had it running in individual rooms. Our installation is at a fairly low density given the high insulation and alternative heating. It seems to perform best when encapsulated behind plasterboard. In my limited experience, the effect is not instantaneous, but gradually builds to a pleasant warmth emanating from the ceiling and is a genuinely effective heating source for a fairly low power consumption. I will endeavour to do an update after winter.Posted on Matthew KempTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We have installed IHelios in our property and have been astounded by the results. Installation in the ceiling space was easy. Thermostat and the control app are easy to install and set up. The IHelios system has had an extraordinary impact on what was a very poorly wet and damp north facing brick and flint corner of our cottage in Norfolk. We will be installing elswhere in our property (All electric - supported by Solar PV, Battery and Mixergy for Hot Water). 5/5 with great support from the team at iHelios.Posted on Maar's BTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We installed iHelios in our 1950s bungalow, and it’s been a game-changer! The house feels cosy and warm without any dust in the air or mould issues. Plus, knowing infrared has health benefits is a huge bonus. Highly recommend!Posted on Karen IngramTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We are delighted with our ihelios system and the after sales support is instant! It is a big step for some people to make the change to an eco heating system that doesn’t use gas. Don’t be put off! Our house is now all electric, supported by solar and zero carbon heating and hot water. We love it, easy to control and a comfortable and healthy home.Posted on Kinga DudaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. With its heated floors, every step feels like a luxury, while its integration with solar panels saves us a fortune on energy bills. It seamlessly blends elegance with sustainability, and the customer service is impeccable. In short, iHelios has redefined what it means to be cozy at home while saving money and the planet.
